Tool for Payment Format Definition Debugging

The main goal of this thesis is to develop and demonstrate a tool for debugging payment formats that would make it easier for users of the DMEEX transaction (program) to detect bugs in definition trees. Demonstration of the debugging tool is implemented on the SAP S / 4HANA platform. The first part of this thesis describes the platforms SAP R / 3 and SAP S / 4HANA, with emphasis on capturing the differences between them. Furthermore, the purpose of payment formats and their integration within SAP systems is discussed. The design describes the collection and work with user requirements for this tool. The implemented product allows users to visualize the processing of the DMEEX transaction definition tree, thanks to which it allows its users to more easily detect errors in the definition of the tree or in its input data.

Hlavním cílem této práce je vyvinout uživatelské rozhraní a získávání nezbytných podnikových dat v aplikaci sloužící pro schvalování bankovních plateb za použití moderních technologií a technologií poskytovaných společností SAP. V první části je obecně popsáno téma bankovních plateb, jsou vysvětleny klíčové pojmy a zmíněny některé problémy z této oblasti, se kterými se společnosti a soukromníci v dnešní době potýkají. Dále je popsána architektura SAP S/4HANA, pro kterou je aplikace vyvíjena. V neposlední části jsou zmíněny technologie pro tvorbu uživatelských rozhraní, jenž jsou pro tento vývoj vhodné anebo jsou dnes nejvíce používány. Proces návrhu aplikace popisuje její požadavky, tvorbu prototypu aplikace, jenž vizualizuje způsob zobrazení dat uživateli a návrh datového modelu. Výsledná aplikace umožňuje získávat správná data z databáze, zobrazovat je definovaným způsobem způsobem a nabízí možnost jejich editace a správy.

This thesis is focused on functionality analysis to cover both the customer’s and the SAP company’s requirements and a follow up implementation and testing of analytical and monitoring applications to help navigate the monthly financial close. Eight applications were designed after the initial analysis, each with specific requirements for the key performance indicator (KPI) and detailed drill-down options for defined dimensions. In the thesis is described the implementation of applications and their configuration in the SAP Smart Business framework as well as implementation of two supplementary programs in the ABAP programming language.
